The amount of revenue that Candy Crush generates should not be underestimated - Will McKeon-White, Forrester senior analyst

Hey there!

📣  If you only read one piece of gaming news today 📣

Not too long ago (one year!), FaZe Clan was valued at $725,000,000.

The esports group was just acquired for $17,000,000(!!) by Gamesquare, a company that has Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones as one of the investors. This valuation comes after struggles from FaZe Clan, including posting a loss of $28M in the first 6 months of 2023.

Following the acquisition, FaZe Clan's leadership will return to its founders, operating as an independent division within Gamesquare.

🎉 But we have so much more:

Despite the news, FaZe Clan remains an esports powerhouse. They are the winners of IEM Sydney's CS2 Tournament and the $100,000 prize.

There’s more investments in tools for gaming (and the investments are not THAT small).

Baldur’s Gate 3 could still be released on Xbox before the end of 2023. Skull Island: Rise of Kong was made in just a year (and nobody’s surprised).

Oh, RoboCop is not coming to Switch anymore.
